    ∙ ‘PART I’에서 소개한 논문 구성의 사례는 여러분이 논문을 작성할 때에 도움이 될 수 있는 자료이다. 보통 논문은 <서론 →이론적 배경 →연구 방법 →연구 결과> 등과 같이 몇 개의 요소로 구성되고, 각 요소마다 관습적으로 사용하는 담화 구성 방법이 있다. 이 책에서는 다수의 논문을 분석해서 여러분이 논문을 작성할 때 도움이 될 수 있도록 요소별 담화 구성 방법을 논문 사례와 함께 소개하였다.
    ∙ ‘PART II’에서 소개한 통계 방법별 논문의 양식과 사례는 여러분이 각종 통계표를 작성할 때 기본 지침으로 활용할 수 있는 자료이다. 통계분석 연구를 수행할 때에 모두가 준수해야 할 통계표나 해설 방법이 약속되어 있는 것은 아니다. 대개 연구자가 연구 목적에 따라 적절하게 통계표를 작성하고 설명하기 때문이다. 그렇지만 이 책에 제시된 논문 양식과 논문 사례는 여러 매뉴얼을 비교하고 실제 논문을 분석해서 마련하였기 때문에 여러분이 논문을 완성하는 데에 유용하게 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
    ∙ 이 책은 SPSS 매뉴얼의 보조 자료로 사용할 것을 전제로 개발되었다. 이 책은 기초 SPSS 통계를 익히고 난 뒤에 논문을 작성하는 단계에서 필요한 정보와 자료를 담고 있다. 기본적인 통계분석 방법은 일반 SPSS 매뉴얼로 익히기 바란다. 첨언하자면, 통계분석 방법을 익힐 때 두 권 이상의 SPSS 매뉴얼을 참고하기를 권한다. SPSS 매뉴얼은 대부분 여러 통계분석 방법 중에서 일부를 선정해서 사용법을 설명하고 있어서 중점적으로 다루고 있는 통계 분야가 서로 다르다. 어떤 책은 요인분석이나 군집분석 방법을 상세하게 설명하고, 어떤 책은 실험수업 연구에서 요긴하게 사용할 수 있는 공변량 분석을 상술하고 있다. 이처럼 내용이 서로 상당히 다르기 때문에, 다양한 매뉴얼을 참고할수록 자신의 논문에 적절한 통계 방법을 선정해서 사용할 수 있다.
